- ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
- Each additional driver will be charged an additional fee of 9.99 USD per day.
- AFTER HOURS
- A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked out until the next business day. If returned after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until satisfactory check-in of the rented vehicle on the next business day. You will be charged for an extra day if you return the vehicle after our closing time.
- AGE
- All drivers must meet our minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and a major credit card in their own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will apply to the underage and/or additional driver. The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 18, there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car 25 or under.
- CANCELLATION
- Reservation MUST be cancelled through the original source minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and penalty. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged $50USD.
- DEBIT CARDS
- Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards/apple cards or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised embossed are not accepted as a form of payment. Debit card use has a $24.95 debit card fee in order to accept it. It is the counter agents discretion to accept it or not based on the entire assesment of the renters qualifications.
- DEPOSIT RULES
- Deposits go from 350USD to 1000USD depending on the renters qualifications. (Insurance, credit card, age, lenght of rental, type of vehicle, state issued DL, and more)
- DIRECTIONS
- Please follow the instructions. Once you have your luggage text `HERE` to schedule shuttle pick up or call us at (888) 656-7383 ext 2. Then, when you go out of the airport DO NOT CROSS the street, just stand outside the sliding doors in ZONE 1, You will see a white minivan that has the CARWIZ logo. Wave at the driver. It may take 10-15 minutes to arrive. Thank you.

- DRIVERS LICENSE
- All Drivers Licenses are accepted. Renters from outside countries of the USA; must a have a valid driver`s license issued from the country of origin; if the driver`s license is not in Roman Alphabet a valid international license is required. Local customers (NC DL holders) 100 miles per day, not going out of state is allowed.
- EQUIPMENT
- Baby seat 9.95USD Booster seats 5.25USD are available upon request and will depend on availability. This are NOT guarranteed. GPS is not available. Request at the rental counter.
- FUEL
- Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of 7 USD per gallons the cost of the fuel.
- GEOGRAPHIC
- Our vehicled are only allowed to driver in NC, SC and VA. Local customers dont apply to this rule. Local customers are limited to 100miles per day. However, you may contact our office and inquire about out state fees or extra mileage depending on the state you wish to drive to.
- INSURANCE
- Please bring proof of insurance VALID in North Carolina, Liability insurance is required when driving in the state of North Carolina. - Declarations Page with the name of the company and the policy number valid for at least 3 months at the time of rental or you will be required to purchase liability insurance. Your insurance must be issued by one of the following U.S. or Canadian companies only - State Farm, GEICO, Progressive Allstate, USAA, Amica and Liberty Mutual for U.S. and Aviva Canada, State Farm Mutual and Wawanesa Mutual of Canada in Canada otherwise you would be required to purchase Liability insurance - Supplemental Liability Insurance covers for injuries or damage you cause to a 3rd party and their property $24.95 per day. CDW LDW Collision Damage Waiver is required unless renter brings -Declarations page- from an insurance company listed above. A 9.99USD per day may be charged to use your own insurance in order for us to verify that coverage is in place. HCH NC INV GROUP then waives the CDW charge, leaving the renter responsible for all damages to the rental vehicle. The damage waiver includes Liability and Theft protection, TP and TPL for all car sizes but excludes tire and windshield protection. CDW LDW is 19.99USD to 34.99USD per day depending on deductibles. If the 19.99USD day waiver excess is 2500USD, with 24.99 day the excess is 1500.00USD, with 29.99USD day excess is 500.00USD and with 34.99USD the excess is zero. All options plus tax..The security Deposit goes from 350USD to 1000USD. You MUST provide a Police Report in order for Insurance to cover any accident and notify us immediately. Should you choose to rely on Credit Card coverage or coverage purchased on a website you MUST purchase Liability insurance at the counter you will be responsible to Hpower NC for all damages or replacement of the vehicle prior to your departure. You can seek reimbursement from your provider upon return to your residence. This deposit is 1000USD and can be held up to 20 business days after the return of the vehicle with no damage.
- INTERNET RESERVATIONS
- Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats, any additional coverage or any other option.
- ONE-WAY
- One way rentals from this location are not permitted.
- OTHER
- Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted.
“Learner’s Permits” are not accepted.
Any license that, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted.
Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.
- OVERSTAY
- In general, there is a 60-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 60 minutes or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.
- PAYMENT
- The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental: CREDIT CARD Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Diners and Discover. NO DEBIT IS ACCEPTED. Cards MUST have main drivers name and numbers in order to be accepted. The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
- PICKUP/DROP

- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
- If you are more than 60 minutes late to pick up your vehicle, the rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Past that time you may be subject to availability in regards to vehicle category if any. If the category available is greater than the one you reserved, you will have to pay the upgrade fee if you wish to take the reservation. No refunds are guarranteed by HCH NC INV GROUP, you must contacted the third party website you used to book your rental.
- RULES
- At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the Contract) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions.
The renter must use the above-listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned from 2 to 20 business days.
If the Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter at the time of rental unless the Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be held against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a non refundable deposit equivalant to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.
- TOLL ROADS AND FEES
- Local charges - You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines.
Toll fees -
We encourage our customer to purchase unlimited Toll Pass $13.95 per day, to avoid penalties and extra charges after you return your vehicle. If you decide NOT to purchase unlimited pass and you do go through a toll $25 per toll fine + the toll cost will be charged to your secutiry deposit when penalties are received.
After your rental -
If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee $50 as well as the original charge.
