What you need to know about your renting process
- ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
All drivers must meet our minimum age requirements, present a valid photo drivers license and a major credit card in their own name. All location policies that apply to the renter will apply to the underage and/or additional driver. Minimum age is 18 years of age. Each additional driver will be charged an additional fee of 20 USD per day. All Drivers Licenses are accepted. Renters from outside countries; must a have a valid driver`s license issued from the country of origin; if the driver`s license is not in Roman Alphabet a valid international license is required.
- DEBIT CARDS
Credit cards: Visa and Mastercard are accepted. Cards must be in renter`s own name. Personal checks, prepaid cards are not allowed as a form of payment. Prepaid, recharge or virtual debit/credit cards – or any card on which the relevant characters are not raised (‘embossed’) - are not accepted as a form of payment.
- DRIVERS LICENSE
Driver Qualifications
You must be at least 21.
An International Driving Permit is required if the driving licence is printed with non-Roman Alphabet.

Baby, toddler and child seats are available upon request for 10USD per rental day. GPS is available upon request for USD10.00/day. Request at the rental counter.
- FUEL
Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of 50USD plus the cost of the fuel.
- INSURANCE
Compulsory Third Party Coverage, CDW and Theft Protection are in the rate for international customers (customers outside USA and Canada). A deductible excess of 2500USD / 25000USD applies for damage to or theft of our vehicle. The excess increases to FULL DAMAGE AMOUNT in the case of negligence. The excess can be reduced to 500USD/1000USD for 34.99USD per day. If you choose not to purchase the CDW excess waiver a deposit of 1000USD / 2000USD will be required. CDW does not cover tires or glass and is not valid should the terms on the rental contract be violated.
- OTHER
Credit Card Guarantees
At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation required a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and/or penalty. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged 50USD.
Inclusive Rate Pkg.
Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats GPS or cell phones, toll roads usage fees, any additional coverage or any other option.
Legal Notice
CARWIZ Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. If you booked a Pay Now Special rate you will be charged in US dollars a non refundable deposit equivalant to the amount of the rental charges for the reserved period. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.- PICKUP/DROP
When you pick the car up, you`ll need:

Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Penalty will be charged to the renter locally.
- TOLL ROADS AND FEES
Local Charges
You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines.
Toll fees
Look out for toll fees on certain roads, as these are not included in your rental price. Depending on where you’re driving, you may be able to pay for toll fees in different ways. Just ask the counter staff to explain when you pick up the car.
After your rental
If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

After Hours Return
A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked out until the next business day. If returned after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until satisfactory check-in of the rented vehicle on the next business day.- AGE
Age
The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 21, but there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car under the age of 25. Under 21 car rental is available in New York State (information below) and for military personnel and government employees. Charges vary depending on the rental location.
Car Rental Age Requirements and Additional Information: Car rental rates may be higher for renters between the ages of 21 and 24, underage driver surcharge may apply. The primary renter and additional drivers of the vehicle must be at least 25 years of age to avoid underage driver surcharge. Certain specialty and larger vehicles may not be rented to drivers under the age of 25. U.S. military personnel and government employers 18 years of age or older will not incur a young driver surcharge when renting for an authorized official trip. There are different age requirements for car rentals in New York.- CDW
Collision Damage Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If the renter accepts CDW, Carwiz affiliate waives or reduces the renter’s responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the rental vehicle (including but not limited to towing, storage, impound, and administrative fees subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and applicable laws. CDW is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional and not required to rent a car. The protection provided by CDW may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage, therefore the renter should examine his or her credit card protections, automobile insurance policy, or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the protection provided by CDW.
When deciding whether or not to purchase CDW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or the ft a vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.- CROSS BORDER
CROSS BORDER POLICY
Vehicles cannot be driven from into Mexico. Please see the Rental Restrictions policy for more details.
Out of province fee for travels to Alberta, State of Washington, State of Oregon is $20.00/day throughout the entire rental period. If traveled outside of British Columbia without informing and receiving written consent or if travel to any other province or state besides Alberta, State of Washington, State of Oregon, Carwiz/West Coast Car Rentals will charge $0.59/KM for every kilometer driven from the Start of Rental to End of Rental.- DEBIT CARDS
Debit Card
At selected airport locations, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address. Active duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.

Deposit Amount
To account for the Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, renters will be required to provide a deposit of $750 - $25000, depending on the car class.- DRIVERS LICENSE
DRIVER’S LICENSE INFORMATION
Customers who reside in the United States, U.S. Territories, or Canada
Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver`s license must be valid for the entire rental period.
Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions: |li| They also present an Active Military ID, and |li|They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license. These policies vary by state and customers are encouraged to check with the appropriate department of motor vehicles for more information.
Customers travelling to the U.S. and Canada from other countries
It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental.
Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: |li|Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e.alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. |li|If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. In either case the home country license must also be presented. |li|Customers may not rent a vehicle solely with the International Driver’s Permit. The International Driver’s Permit is a translation of the individual’s home country license and is not considered a license nor is it considered valid identification. |li|In some US locations, customers not holding a US driver’s license may be asked to provide additional documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport or, in certain states (AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX) a valid Mexican voter registration card and/or inbound and outbound travel documentation. |li|In some Canadian locations, customers not holding a Canadian driver’s license may be asked to provide additional valid government-issued documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport.
Other requirements |li|Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted |li|“Learner’s Permits” are not accepted. |li|Any license which, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted. |li|Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.- FUEL
Refueling Service
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.
Option 1 - Prepay Fuel (if available) -- This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. The price is based on an estimate of current fuel prices and the average tank size for the car received. No refunds will be issued for unused gas.
Option 2 - We Refill. -- This option allows the renter to pay Carwiz at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.
Option 3 - You Refill. -- This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with a full tank of gas to avoid extra fuel charges.- GEOGRAPHIC
Rental Restrictions
Most vehicles rented in the U.S. can be driven throughout the U.S. and Canada. Some classes of vehicles such as Exotics, Large Passenger or Cargo Vans and other specialized vehicles cannot travel outside the U.S. Please check directly with the rental location for details on cross-border restrictions. Most locations do not allow travel to Mexico. If you wish to travel to Mexico, you will be required to purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while in Mexico. Please contact the branch directly to determine limitations and availability.- INSURANCE
Inclusive Rate Pkg.

Insurance Verification
At the time of rental, Renters without a ticketed return travel itinerary must provide evidence of a transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for all vehicle classes.- ONE-WAY
One-Ways
There are certain fees that may be associated with one-way rental car reservations. One Way Rental Fee (OWF) varies by rental location, return location and time of year.

Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage
Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter`s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses, and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any member of the renter`s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter`s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations, and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by the rental location’s insurance company policy. The purchase of PAI/PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI/PEC may duplicate the renter`s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter`s existing coverage; therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI/PEC.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (Where available)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. SLI provides you with up to $1,000,000 of increased liability protection should bodily injury and property damage claims be made against you by people injured in an accident. SLI safeguards your insurance policy and/or your assets for the first $1,000,000 should such claims be made against you. Supplemental Liability Insurance also provides uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for combined bodily injury and/or property damage claims. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by SLI may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage; therefore the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by SLI.- OTHER

In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 1 hour or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.- PAYMENT

The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions.
Additional Information
Debit cards are only accepted at selected locations at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary.
Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned.
If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.

Arriving from within Canada?
1) pickup your checked bags which are at arrivals on level two of the domestic terminal
2) after you pick your luggage, go to level three, exit out of the building
3) turn right and all the way at the end is courtesy shuttle pickup area.

Late Pickup Fee
If you are more than 60 minutes late to pickup your vehicle, rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Please call the branch directly and inform them of your late arrival to make sure your reserved car awaits you.- SMOKING

Refueling Service
As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel.

Option 2 - We Refill. -- This option allows the renter to pay Carwiz at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices.

Rental Restrictions
Most vehicles rented in the U.S. can be driven throughout the U.S. and Canada. Some classes of vehicles such as Exotics, Large Passenger or Cargo Vans and other specialized vehicles cannot travel outside the U.S. Please check directly with the rental location for details on cross-border restrictions. Most locations do not allow travel to Mexico. If you wish to travel to Mexico, you will be required to purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while in Mexico. Inclusive Rate Pkg.
Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Third Party waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage
Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter`s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses, and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any member of the renter`s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter`s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations, and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by the rental location’s insurance company policy. The purchase of PAI/PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI/PEC may duplicate the renter`s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter`s existing coverage; therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI/PEC.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (Where available)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. SLI provides you with up to $1,000,000 of increased liability protection should bodily injury and property damage claims be made against you by people injured in an accident. SLI safeguards your insurance policy and/or your assets for the first $1,000,000 should such claims be made against you. Supplemental Liability Insurance also provides uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for combined bodily injury and/or property damage claims. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by SLI may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.- OVERSTAY
Late Return Fee
In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. Additional Information

Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned.
If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.

PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS
The rental counter and vehicles are located onsite(In Front of Marriot Pinnacle Hotel). Address: 1128 West Hastings St, V6E 4R5 Vancouver, Canada. Customers returning overnight will need to park under ground parking level 5 in stalls #384 to #394 and/or #400 to #404. The key will have to be dropped through our mail slot. Please note car will not be inspected until the next business day therefore the customer will be held responsible for damages until the car is inspected. Shuttle service is not available.- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
Late Pickup Fee
If you are more than 60 minutes late to pickup your vehicle, rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Please call the branch directly and inform them of your late arrival to make sure your reserved car awaits you.- SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Penalty will be charged to the renter locally.

Additional driver fee is 10.00 per day Driver`s age and driving license requirements apply to additional drivers. The number of additional drivers is limited to the number of passenger seats in the vehicle rented. Request to add drivers is made upon pickup at the rental counter. Additional drivers should present the required license documents along with the main Driver`s for authorization at the time of pickup.- AFTER HOURS
After Hours Return
A vehicle that is returned after hours will not be checked out until the next business day. If returned after hours when a branch is closed, the customer is responsible for the vehicle until satisfactory check-in of the rented vehicle on the next business day.- AGE
Age
The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 21, but there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car under the age of 25. Under 21 car rental is available in New York State (information below) and for military personnel and government employees. Charges vary depending on the rental location.
Car Rental Age Requirements and Additional Information: Car rental rates may be higher for renters between the ages of 21 and 24, underage driver surcharge may apply. The primary renter and additional drivers of the vehicle must be at least 25 years of age to avoid underage driver surcharge. Certain specialty and larger vehicles may not be rented to drivers under the age of 25. U.S. military personnel and government employers 18 years of age or older will not incur a young driver surcharge when renting for an authorized official trip. There are different age requirements for car rentals in New York.- CDW
Collision Damage Waiver
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If the renter accepts CDW, Carwiz affiliate waives or reduces the renter’s responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the rental vehicle (including but not limited to towing, storage, impound, and administrative fees subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and applicable laws. CDW is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional and not required to rent a car. The protection provided by CDW may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage, therefore the renter should examine his or her credit card protections, automobile insurance policy, or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the protection provided by CDW.
When deciding whether or not to purchase CDW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or the ft a vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.- CROSS BORDER
CROSS BORDER POLICY
Vehicles cannot be driven from into Mexico. Please see the Rental Restrictions policy for more details.
Out of province fee for travels to Alberta, State of Washington, State of Oregon is $20.00/day throughout the entire rental period. If traveled outside of British Columbia without informing and receiving written consent or if travel to any other province or state besides Alberta, State of Washington, State of Oregon, Carwiz/West Coast Car Rentals will charge $0.59/KM for every kilometer driven from the Start of Rental to End of Rental.- DEBIT CARDS
Debit Card
At selected airport locations, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address. Active duty military personnel are exempt from address requirements.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.

Deposit Amount

DRIVER’S LICENSE INFORMATION
Customers who reside in the United States, U.S. Territories, or Canada
Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver`s license must be valid for the entire rental period.
Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions: |li| They also present an Active Military ID, and |li|They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license. These policies vary by state and customers are encouraged to check with the appropriate department of motor vehicles for more information.
Customers travelling to the U.S. and Canada from other countries
It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental.
Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: |li|Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e.alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. |li|If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. CANCELLATION POLICY At this location we request to be notified at least 48 hours prior to pick-up time, Customers who fail to cancel their reservations at least 48 hours prior to pick time or fail to show up for their reservation or fail to qualify for the rental will be subject to a cancellation fee. Duplicate reservations that are not picked up or not cancelled will also be subject to the cancellation fee.

CROSS BORDER POLICY All Rentals are Restricted to the State of Florida. Crossing the state lines may be incur a charge up to $3000.00. Vehicles cannot be driven from the U.S. into Mexico. Please see the Rental Restrictions policy for more details.

- DRIVERS LICENSE
DRIVER’S LICENSE INFORMATION CUSTOMERS WHO RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES, U.S. TERRITORIES, OR CANADA: Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver`s license must be valid for the entire rental period. Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions: -They also present an Active Military ID, and -They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license. These policies vary by state and customers are encouraged to check with the appropriate department of motor vehicles for more information. CUSTOMERS TRAVELLING TO THE U.S. AND CANADA FROM OTHER COUNTRIES: It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental. Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e.alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. In either case the home country license must also be presented. Customers may not rent a vehicle solely with the International Driver’s Permit. The International Driver’s Permit is a translation of the individual’s home country license and is not considered a license nor is it considered valid identification. In some US locations, customers not holding a US driver’s license may be asked to provide additional documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport or, in certain states (AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX, FL) a valid Mexican voter registration card and/or inbound and outbound travel documentation. In some Canadian locations, customers not holding a Canadian driver’s license may be asked to provide additional valid government-issued documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport. OTHER REQUIREMENTS -Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted -“Learner’s Permits” are not accepted. -Any license which, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted. -Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.
- EARLY RETURN
EARLY RETURN Renter understands and agrees that there are no refunds for early termination of the Rental agreement or early return of the vehicle.
- FUEL
REFUELING SERVICE As a customer, you have a choice as to how you would like to pay for fuel. OPTION 1: Prepay Fuel (if available) -- This option allows the renter to pay for the full tank of gas at the time of rental and return the tank empty. The price is based on an estimate of current fuel prices and the average tank size for the car received. No refunds will be issued for unused gas. OPTION 2: We Refill. -- This option allows the renter to pay Carwiz at the end of the rental for gas used but not replaced. Price per gallon will be higher than local fuel prices and service fees may apply. OPTION 3: You Refill. -- This option allows the renter to return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as at the start of the rental agreement to avoid extra fuel charges.
- GEOGRAPHIC
RENTAL RESTRICTIONS Most vehicles rented in the U.S. can be driven throughout the U.S. and Canada. Some classes of vehicles such as Exotics, Large Passenger or Cargo Vans, and other specialized vehicles cannot travel outside the U.S. Please check directly with the rental location for details on cross-border restrictions. Most locations do not allow travel to Mexico. If you wish to travel to Mexico, you will be required to purchase additional insurance to cover the vehicle while in Mexico. Please contact the branch directly to determine limitations and availability.
- INSURANCE
INCLUSIVE RATE PKG. Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Third Party waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats GPS or cell phones, toll roads usage fees, any additional coverage or any other option. INSURANCE VERIFICATION At the time of rental, Renters must provide evidence of a transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for all vehicle classes.
- LOCAL RENTERS
LOCAL RENTERS Local Renters are Florida residents only. Florida residents are required to provide a flight round trip ticket, proof of residency outside the state of Florida, and a full declaration page with proof of auto liability and physical damage insurance coverage. Florida license are limited to only 50 miles per rental day. $1000- $2000 deposit is required upon pickup.
- MILEAGE
MILEAGE Unlimited mileage is offered to out of state of Florida and international residents only and for travel within the state of Florida only. (With proof of a round trip flight).
- ONE-WAY
ONE WAYS One way rentals at this location are not permitted. The rented vehicle must be returned at the same pick up location.
- OPTIONAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS
PERSONAL ACCIDENT INSURANCE / PERSONAL EFFECTS COVERAGE Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter`s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses, and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any member of the renter`s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter`s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations, and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by the rental location’s insurance company policy. The purchase of PAI/PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI/PEC may duplicate the renter`s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter`s existing coverage; therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI/PEC. SUPPLEMENTAL LIABILITY INSURANCE (Where available) Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. SLI provides you with up to $1,000,000 of increased liability protection should bodily injury and property damage claims be made against you by people injured in an accident. SLI safeguards your insurance policy and/or your assets for the first $1,000,000 should such claims be made against you. Supplemental Liability Insurance also provides uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for combined bodily injury and/or property damage claims. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by SLI may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage; therefore the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by SLI. Please refer to the SLI brochure available at the rental counter. Customers that fail to show proof of insurance (provide a full declaration page) must purchase insurance. Liability of $300k limit is required to rent in each category.
- OTHER
LEGAL NOTICE Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment. Please Note we hold reservations for 1 hour from the reserved pickup time subject to published business hours, cancellation must be through the original booking source.
- OVERSTAY
LATE RETURN FEE In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 1 hour or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.
- PAYMENT
FORMS OF PAYMENT POLICY The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental: Credit cards: VISA MasterCard Discover Diners The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Debit cards and American Express credit cards are NOT accepted at this location. Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned. If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged. Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted. In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract. The exact name on the drivers license must be on the credit card you are using for payments/ deposits. All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card. Please read the Renter Requirements policy (see above) for additional details pertaining to the use of debit cards and general rental requirements at this location.
- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
LATE PICK UP FEE If you are more than 60 minutes late to pickup your vehicle, rental location may mark your reservation as a No-Show and may rent the vehicle to other customers. Please call the branch directly and inform them of your late arrival to make sure your reserved car awaits you.
- RULES
RENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS Please refer to the terms and conditions on the back of the Carwiz / Flex Rent a Car Contract. All reservation are subject to final audit and vehicle availability. Carwiz / Flex Rent a Car maintains the right to refuse to rent if requirements are not met. Refusal is at the discretion of the counter agent. All reservations have to be made at least 3 days in advance. any reservations made within the 3 days are subject to availability.
- SHUTTLE
PICKUP INSTRUCTIONS Please call 407-723-0023 for shuttle pick up. Once you arrive and you have retrieved your luggage from baggage claim, please call us from one of the many courtesy phones located throughout the baggage claim areas and ground transportation floors in both A and B terminals. In the A terminal, they are located at spots A11, A12, A13 and terminal B spots B11, B12, or B13. You will be directed to the designated shuttle pick up location where we will transport you to our rental facility which is a short distance away.

What you need to know about your renting process
- DEBIT CARDS
At time of pick up, customers will be required to pay the amount of the rental and a deposit. The following payment methods are accepted: MasterCard, Visa, Discover and Diners Club credit cards. Only cards issued in the main driver`s name are accepted. Prepaid cards and Apple card is/are not accepted. The main driver must provide a physical payment card in their name with enough funds to cover the deposit to pick up the car. The rental company will neither accept virtual credit cards (e.g., Google Pay or Apple Pay) nor someone else’s card (including family members).
- DRIVERS LICENSE
Drivers Age Minimum driver`s age requirement is 21 years and the maximum driver’s age is 75 years. A young driver surcharge of USD 19.99 per day will apply for driver`s under 25 years. A senior driver surcharge of USD 10 per day will apply for drivers aged from 70 years to 75 years. Underage additional drivers are subject to both Young Driver and Additional Driver fees. Driver’s License Customers must present a full valid and physical driving license which has been held for a minimum of 1 year before the date of the commencement of the rental and with no major endorsements. A valid ID card or passport must be required at time of pick up. In order to pick up the car, the following documents are required: passport, valid driver`s license, credit card on a main driver`s name and booking voucher. When picking up the vehicle, all drivers must be present and must provide valid documentation.
- EQUIPMENT
Confirmation of Special Equipment depends upon the availability at the rental desk.
- FUEL
The vehicle will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and must be returned full. Otherwise, missing fuel will be charged on your return. Fuel charges are payable at the rental desk unless otherwise stated. Supplier`s fuel policies change from time to time, please confirm at rental counter.
- GEOGRAPHIC
Rental vehicle may be driven throughout State of Florida. However, restrictions may be placed on certain remote areas and regions for which written approval of the renting location is required. Beach driving is prohibited. Rental vehicle cannot be driven outside State of Florida. If the customer leave Florida without authorizacion $1000 penalty will apply. Mileage Policy - For Non-Florida Residents Unlimited Mileage Mileage Policy - For Florida Residents Limited Mileage - 50 miles per day For excess Milleage an additional charge per mile will apply. * A local renter is defined as a renter who is a resident of USA - Florida.
- INSURANCE
The following insurance type(s) Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Third Party Liability (TPL) is (are) not included. In order to use the renter`s own insurance, he/she must provide proof of TPL and CDW coverage in his/her own name, issued by one of the following companies: State Farm, Liberty Mutual, Geico, All State, Infinity, Progressive, USAA, Nationwide, e-surance, Farmers. Insurance is accepted only if issued in the following country(ies): USA. Renters must provide proof of their own insurance. Acceptable proof of insurance must include insurance declaration page, Insurance, that is valid for at least 3 months before the pick up date, insurance declaration page, that matches with the home address on the driving license, Bodily Injury and Property Damage liability with not less than 300,000 USD limit. If using their own insurance, renters must provide an insurance ID card with the exact coverage shown and the same name and address as on the driver license. Insurance from outside the US is not accepted. - ONE-WAY
One way drops are permitted between Miami International Airport and Fort Lauderdale Airport locations. Rental location must be advised of drop at time of rental. A one way drop fee of 70USD is charged if dropping the car from Miami International Airport to Fort Lauderdale Airport and from Fort Lauderdale Airport to Miami International Airport, with no minimum day requirements.
- OTHER
CREDIT CARD GUARANTEES A refundable deposit between USD $1000 will be blocked on the customer`s credit card until the end of the rental period. If the customer cancel`s booking at the time of pick-up at the rental desk, a cancellation fee of USD 50 will apply. Prepaid Bookings are not refundable. INCLUSIVE RATE PKG. Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) It is included in your rental amount. Collision damage waiver reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount. The excess amount of CDW is USD 5000 for all vehicle groups. Not available for Us and Canada Customers Third Party Liability Insurance (TPL) It is included in your rental amount. Insurance coverage for the vehicle rented includes Third Party Liability with a limited cover for personal injuries and material damages. WHEN YOU PICK UP THE CAR, YOU`LL NEED: 1) Passport or national ID card 2) Driving licence 3) Credit card 4) Proof of insurance and booking voucher You must be at least 21. An International Driving Permit is required if the driving licence is printed with non-Roman Alphabet. During regular working hours, when the car is still guaranteed for the customer, if the customer is late for pick up (the grace period) is 60 minutes. If the customer arrives after 60 minutes for pickup of the vehicle, reinstatement fee or car upgrade (subject to availability) may be applied. Please note you should arrive 30 min before office closing time to take the shuttle bus service and get your car.
- SHUTTLE
Upon arrival at FLL FORT LAUDERDALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, please proceed to the ARRIVALS (1st Floor of the terminal) which is the baggage claim level, After getting to the 1st Floor and Pick up your baggage and follow the instructions below: TERMINAL 1 Please walk to the RENTAL CAR CENTER and follow signs for OFF SITE RENTAL AND SHUTTLE BUS. - TOLL ROADS AND FEES
LOCAL CHARGES
You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines.An administrative and notarial fee of USD 50 will apply for each parking or traffic ticket. TOLL FEES E-toll Service: Prepaid E-toll device is available for an additional charge of USD 19.99 per day. E-Toll/Sunpass activation fee is USD 14.99 per day. If the customer declines Toll pass / E-toll device, a penalty of USD 25 for each toll used in addition to the cost for each unpaid toll will apply. If the customer removes the Toll pass / E-toll device from the car, an additional penalty of USD 300 will apply. ( No personal devices allowed) Please check at the rental desk for more information AFTER YOUR RENTAL If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

AGE The minimum age requirement to rent a vehicle with Carwiz is 21, but there is a young driver surcharge for all customers renting a car under the age of 25. Under 21 car rental is available in New York State (information below) and for military personnel and government employees. Charges vary depending on the rental location. CAR RENTAL AGE REQUIREMENTS AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Car Rental Age Requirements and Additional Information: Car rental rates may be higher for renters between the ages of 21 and the vehicle’s primary renter and additional drivers renter and additional drivers of the vehicle must be at least 25 years of age to avoid an underage driver surcharge. Certain specialty as a Fullsize SUV vehicle cannot be rented to drivers under the age of 25.

COLLISION DAMAGE WAIVER Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If the renter accepts CDW, Carwiz affiliate waives or reduces the renter’s responsibility for loss of, or damage to, the rental vehicle (including but not limited to towing, storage, impound, and administrative fees subject to the terms and conditions of the rental agreement and applicable laws. CDW is not insurance. The purchase of CDW is optional and not required to rent a car. The protection provided by CDW may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage, therefore the renter should examine his or her credit card protections, automobile insurance policy, or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the protection provided by CDW. When deciding whether or not to purchase CDW, you may wish to check with your insurance representative or credit card company to determine whether, in the event of damage to, or the ft a vehicle, you have coverage or protection for such damage or theft and the amount of your deductible or out-of-pocket risk.

- DEBIT CARDS
DEBIT CARD Insurance options are Mandatory with a Debit card and must be purchased directly from Scotties. At selected airport locations, debit cards are only accepted at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary. The name and address shown on the renter’s driver’s license must match their current home address. If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, the Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred. Please read the Forms of Payment policy (see below) for additional details about the use of debit cards at this location.
- DEPOSIT RULES
DEPOSIT AMOUNT To account for the Renter potentially incurring additional amounts owed under the Contract, renters will be required to provide a deposit of $3000 for all car classes.
- DRIVERS LICENSE
DRIVER`S LICENCE INFORMATION CUSTOMERS WHO RESIDE IN THE UNITED STATES, U.S. TERRITORIES, OR CANADA: Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver`s license must be valid for the entire rental period. Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions: They also present an Active Military ID, and They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license. These policies vary by state and customers are encouraged to check with the appropriate department of motor vehicles for more information. CUSTOMERS TRAVELLING TO THE U.S. AND CANADA FROM OTHER COUNTRIES: It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental. Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e.alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. In either case the home country license must also be presented. Customers may not rent a vehicle solely with the International Driver’s Permit. The International Driver’s Permit is a translation of the individual’s home country license and is not considered a license nor is it considered valid identification. In some US locations, customers not holding a US driver’s license may be asked to provide additional documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport or, in certain states (AZ, CA, CO, NM, TX) a valid Mexican voter registration card and/or inbound and outbound travel documentation. In some Canadian locations, customers not holding a Canadian driver’s license may be asked to provide additional valid government-issued documentation. Examples of this may include a valid passport. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Photocopies of Driver’s Licenses are not accepted “Learner’s Permits” are not accepted. Any license which, on its face, restricts the licensee to the use and operation of a vehicle equipped with a form of a breathalyzer apparatus is not accepted. Temporary Driver’s Licenses may be refused if the renting location is unable to otherwise verify the customer’s identity or verify the authenticity of the temporary license. Additional Government-issued identification may be required.

REFUELING SERVICE We operate a “Same to Same” fuel policy. (e.g. If you get the car half full you return the half full). No refunds will be issued for unused gas.

One-Ways
One way drops are permitted between Auckland and Christchurch. Rental location must be advised of drop at time of rental. A one way drop fee of 150USD is charged if dropping the car in Auckland from Christchurch, with no minimum day requirements. If dropping from Auckland in Christchurch the drop fee is 250USD and rental must be a minimum of 21 days. One way drops between Auckland airport and Auckland city are allowed with prior authorization and a 20USD fee. There are certain fees that may be associated with one-way rental car reservations.

Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage

If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter`s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses, and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any member of the renter`s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter`s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations, and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by the rental location’s insurance company policy. The purchase of PAI/PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI/PEC may duplicate the renter`s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter`s existing coverage; therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI/PEC.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (Where available)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. SLI provides you with up to $1,000,000 of increased liability protection should bodily injury and property damage claims be made against you by people injured in an accident. SLI safeguards your insurance policy and/or your assets for the first $1,000,000 should such claims be made against you. Supplemental Liability Insurance also provides uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for combined bodily injury and/or property damage claims. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by SLI may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.- OVERSTAY
Late Return Fee
In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 1 hour or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.- PAYMENT
Forms of Payment Policy
The 3.5% credit card fee applies to any charges collected in New Zealand paid with a credit card. No credit card fee applies to New Zealand debit or cash cards, bank transfers, and cash payments. In all cases, a valid credit card is required to rent a car. Personal checks are not allowed. This Fee is common in New Zealand. The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental.

The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. Additional Information

Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned.
If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.

Vehicles are held up to two hours after the reserved time during operating hours.

If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.

Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter’s existing coverage, therefore the renter should examine his or her credit card protections, automobile insurance policy, or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the protection provided by CDW.

Customers who reside in the U.S., U.S. Territories, or Canada must present a valid, unexpired government-issued Driver’s license which includes a photograph of the customer. Digital licenses are not accepted. The driver`s license must be valid for the entire rental period.
Members of the United States Armed Forces who are on active duty may present an expired home state license under the following conditions: |li| They also present an Active Military ID, and |li|They are in compliance with their military extension policy of the state which issued the license. These policies vary by state and customers are encouraged to check with the appropriate department of motor vehicles for more information.
Customers travelling to the U.S. and Canada from other countries
It is important that customers check with the appropriate Department of Motor Vehicles in the States or Provinces in which they intend to travel to ensure compliance with their various licensing laws. The following practices are used to ensure the customer is presenting a facially valid license at the time of rental.
Customers traveling to the United States and Canada from another country must present the following: |li|Their home country driver’s license that is valid, unexpired and includes a photograph, and |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English (or French, for rentals in Canada) and the letters are English (i.e. German, Spanish, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is recommended, but not required, for translation purposes in addition to the home country license. |li|If the home country license is in a language other than English and the letters are not English (i.e.alphabet is not an extended Latin-based alphabet like German or Spanish but is Russian, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) an International Driver’s Permit is required. |li|If an International Driver’s permit cannot be obtained in the home country, another professional, type-written translation may be substituted. At the time of rental, Renters without a ticketed return travel itinerary must provide evidence of a transferrable auto collision, comprehensive and liability policy for all vehicle classes.- ONE-WAY
One-Ways
One way drops are permitted between Auckland and Christchurch. Rental location must be advised of drop at time of rental. A one way drop fee of 150USD is charged if dropping the car in Auckland from Christchurch, with no minimum day requirements. If dropping from Auckland in Christchurch the drop fee is 250USD and rental must be a minimum of 21 days. One way drops between Auckland airport and Auckland city are allowed with prior authorization and a 20USD fee. There are certain fees that may be associated with one-way rental car reservations.

Personal Accident Insurance / Personal Effects Coverage
Personal Accident Insurance/Personal Effects Coverage (PAI/PEC) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. If accepted, the PAI contained in the policy provides renter and renter`s passengers with accidental death, accident medical expenses, and ambulance expense benefits. The PEC contained in the policy insures the personal effects of the renter, additional drivers, or any member of the renter`s immediate family who permanently resides in the renter`s household and who is traveling with the renter against risks of loss or damage. Benefits are payable in addition to any other insurance coverage the renter or passengers may have. PAI/PEC is subject to the provisions, limitations, and exclusions of the PAI/PEC policy underwritten by the rental location’s insurance company policy. The purchase of PAI/PEC is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by PAI/PEC may duplicate the renter`s existing coverage. Carwiz affiliate is not qualified to evaluate the adequacy of the renter`s existing coverage; therefore, the renter should examine his or her personal insurance policies or other sources of coverage that may duplicate the coverage provided by PAI/PEC.
Supplemental Liability Insurance (Where available)
Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI) is offered at the time of rental for an additional daily charge. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a vehicle. SLI provides you with up to $1,000,000 of increased liability protection should bodily injury and property damage claims be made against you by people injured in an accident. SLI safeguards your insurance policy and/or your assets for the first $1,000,000 should such claims be made against you. Supplemental Liability Insurance also provides uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage up to $1,000,000 per occurrence for combined bodily injury and/or property damage claims. The purchase of SLI is optional and not required to rent a car. The coverage provided by SLI may duplicate the renter’s existing coverage. Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.- OVERSTAY
Late Return Fee
In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 1 hour or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.- PAYMENT
Forms of Payment Policy
The 3.5% credit card fee applies to any charges collected in New Zealand paid with a credit card. No credit card fee applies to New Zealand debit or cash cards, bank transfers, and cash payments. In all cases, a valid credit card is required to rent a car. Personal checks are not allowed. This Fee is common in New Zealand. The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental.

At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions.

Look out for toll fees on certain roads, as these are not included in your rental price. Depending on where you’re driving, you may be able to pay for toll fees in different ways. Just ask the counter staff to explain when you pick up the car.
After your rental
If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

Carwiz Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those stated on the rental contract presented at the actual rental location.
Additional Information
All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. In other words, the car must be returned no later than the same time it was rented, in order to avoid any overtime charges. We do provide a one hour grace period. Makes and models are examples only and are not guaranteed. There are no refunds for early returns. Additional charges will be collected in local currency at the time of payment.- OVERSTAY
Late Return Fee
In general, there is a 59-minute grace period for daily rentals. If the vehicle is not returned within 1 hour from the time it was rented, additional charges will apply. If you return the vehicle 1 hour or more from the time it was rented on a later day, you will be charged an additional day`s rental.- PAYMENT
Forms of Payment Policy
The 3.5% credit card fee applies to any charges collected in New Zealand paid with a credit card. No credit card fee applies to New Zealand debit or cash cards, bank transfers, and cash payments. In all cases, a valid credit card is required to rent a car. Personal checks are not allowed. This Fee is common in New Zealand. The following forms of payment are accepted for the rental.

The Estimated Total for the rental on the Review and Reserve screen and/or in the email reservation confirmation will be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter. If the rental as reserved is modified, the estimated total amount for the rental may change and would still be charged to the form of payment provided by the Renter.
At the time of the rental, the Renter will sign a rental contract (the “Contract”) which applies to the rental and includes a Rental Agreement Summary and the Additional Terms and Conditions. Additional Information
Debit cards are only accepted at selected locations at the time of rental if accompanied by a ticketed return travel itinerary.
Renter must use an above listed form of payment for the deposit amount. The deposit amount will not be available for use by Renter and/or refunded to Renter until after the vehicle has been returned.
If Renter incurs additional amounts owed under the Contract, those additional amounts may be deducted from Renter’s deposit amount, if applicable. If those additional amounts are not deducted from the deposit amount, if applicable, they will be charged to the form of payment provided by Renter at the time of rental unless Renter provides a different above listed form of payment to be charged.
If using a debit card for any of the above amounts, the available funds in the account associated with Renter’s debit card will be reduced by those amounts. Additionally, Renter is responsible for any overdraft fees incurred.
Money orders and prepaid cards are not acceptable forms of payment at the time of rental, including for the deposit amount, but may be used to pay any amounts due at the end of the rental after the vehicle has been returned. Cash is not accepted.
In addition to one of the above listed forms of payment, credit cards with sufficient available credit which are listed on Renter`s Profile will be accepted as payment for all amounts owed under the Contract.
All amounts owed by Renter under the Contract will be submitted (a) as an authorization to be a hold against and ultimately charged to Renter’s credit card or debit card, or (b) to be charged to Renter’s debit card.

All drivers must meet the same minimum age and driver’s license requirements as the renter. Renter’s spouse or life partner, disabled renters who need assistance and co-workers (corporate rentals) are free of charge. Any additional driver must be present at the time of rental to sign the additional driver’s form. A maximum of 2 additional drivers are allowed. The additional driver fee is 160.00 MEP per day for each additional driver. The maximum charge is 4,500.00 MEP per rental. An additional underage fee will apply for drivers 21-24 years of age and will be subject to tax and surcharges.
- AGE
The minimum age is 21. There is no maximum age. Renters younger than 25 years old are subject to a young driver fee of 160.00 MEP per day for all car groups, subject to tax and surcharges. There is no maximum charge. This policy is applicable to corporate rentals with a corporate rate.
- CDW
Loss of Use: In case of any damage (or detention by law enforcement) to the rented car that prevents the unit from being rented again, the customer will be responsible for the loss of use while the car is in repairs. This policy applies only to the cases where the customer decided not to acquire one of our responsibility waiver products or the waiver is void by not following rental guidelines accepted and signed at the time of rental.
- CLEANING
Smoking in Vehicle Fee: Our fleet is Non-Smoking; a cleaning fee of 250.00 USD will be applied in case customer decides to smoke in our vehicle. Excess Soil Fee: In case of excessive soil, odors, stains or any other situation that requires our company to apply a special procedure to clean the car interiors, upholstery, etc., a cleaning fee of 250.00 USD will be applied
- CROSS BORDER
Cars rented in Mexico are NOT allowed to travel to the U.S. Vehicles rented from Mexico cannot go into Central or South America.

Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of 50 USD plus the cost of the fuel. Refueling charge may result in a rate per gallon higher that the local retail gasoline price and is subject to taxes and fees. All rental locations offer prepaid gas options at market value and can be selected at time of rental. There are no refunds for unused gas.
- GEOGRAPHIC
Cross border to the US is NOT ALLOWED. Cross border to Central America is NOT ALLOWED.
- INSURANCE
Compulsory Third Party Coverage, CDW and Theft Protection are in the rate for international customers. A deductible excess of 2200/ 4800 USD applies for damage to or theft of our vehicle. The excess increases to FULL DAMAGE AMOUNT in the case of negligence. The excess can be reduced to zero if you choose to purchase SCDW for 45-53 USD per day depending of the car category. If you choose not to purchase the SCDW excess waiver a deposit of 2200/ 3800 USD will be required. CDW does not cover tires or glass and is not valid should the terms on the rental contract be violated.
- NO-SHOWS
Every booking with the customer late 120 minutes or more to pick up his/her vehicle will be marked as a No-Show.
- ONE-WAY
One way drops with no minimum day requirements are permitted between all our Mexico locations. Rental location must be advised of one way drop at time of rental.
- OPTIONAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS
Our recommendation to all our customers will always be to acquire our 100% waiver protection (LDW). This is an optional product. It releases the renter of all financial responsibility in the case of an accident or theft. This is our most complete coverage product; It includes tires and windshields. It does not include the cost of replacing lost license plates or keys, tow services and police fines. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage. If this option is declined, the renter is fully responsible for the total value of the CARWIZ / AVIS vehicle, stolen accessories, repairs and loss of use during repairs, also the customer must sign an ‘Acknowledgement of Responsibility’. To review the pre-authorization on the customer’s credit card please review Pre-authorization section. Other coverages may be available at the counter, check upon arrival for information. -Additional Liability Insurance –SLI (additional third party liability protection): This option is available at all Mexican locations. The purchase of this option increases the limit from 1 million pesos up to 15 million pesos in coverage for property damage and third party property liability. Car Theft or damage to parts and accessories are not covered for this insurance. All expenses related to the CARWIZ / AVIS vehicle are not included in this option. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): The purchase provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the vehicle up to 500,000.00 MEP per event. - OTHER
CREDIT CARD GUARANTEES At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation required a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and/or penalty. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged 50 USD. INCLUSIVE RATE PKG. Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. When the rental agreement is closed, we will deduct the pre-authorization amount from the total. The remaining amount will then be released. The waiver range varies between 80-100 percent. The minimum pre-authorization is the amount of the rental plus 30% up to a maximum amount of 5,000.00 USD if no waiver option is selected.
- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
Time in minutes that we wait for a late customer, before no-show or cancel: 120 minutes
- SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Penalty will be charged to the renter locally.
- TOLL ROADS AND FEES
LOCAL CHARGES You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines. TOLL FEES Look out for toll fees on certain roads, as these are not included in your rental price. Depending on where you’re driving, you may be able to pay for toll fees in different ways. Just ask the counter staff to explain when you pick up the car. AFTER YOUR RENTAL If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

- FUEL
A full tank of gas is provided at the time of rental and the vehicle should be returned with a full tank of gas to avoid additional charges. Please return the vehicle with the same amount of fuel as you received it with at the time of rental. If you do not, you will be charged a refueling fee of 50 USD plus the cost of the fuel. Refueling charge may result in a rate per gallon higher that the local retail gasoline price and is subject to taxes and fees. All rental locations offer prepaid gas options at market value and can be selected at time of rental. There are no refunds for unused gas.
- GEOGRAPHIC
Cross border to the US is NOT ALLOWED. Cross border to Central America is NOT ALLOWED.
- INSURANCE
Compulsory Third Party Coverage, CDW and Theft Protection are in the rate for international customers. A deductible excess of 2200/ 4800 USD applies for damage to or theft of our vehicle. The excess increases to FULL DAMAGE AMOUNT in the case of negligence. The excess can be reduced to zero if you choose to purchase SCDW for 45-53 USD per day depending of the car category. If you choose not to purchase the SCDW excess waiver a deposit of 2200/ 3800 USD will be required. CDW does not cover tires or glass and is not valid should the terms on the rental contract be violated.
- NO-SHOWS
Every booking with the customer late 120 minutes or more to pick up his/her vehicle will be marked as a No-Show.
- ONE-WAY
One way drops with no minimum day requirements are permitted between all our Mexico locations. Rental location must be advised of one way drop at time of rental.
- OPTIONAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS
Our recommendation to all our customers will always be to acquire our 100% waiver protection (LDW). This is an optional product. It releases the renter of all financial responsibility in the case of an accident or theft. This is our most complete coverage product; It includes tires and windshields. It does not include the cost of replacing lost license plates or keys, tow services and police fines. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage. If this option is declined, the renter is fully responsible for the total value of the CARWIZ / AVIS vehicle, stolen accessories, repairs and loss of use during repairs, also the customer must sign an ‘Acknowledgement of Responsibility’. To review the pre-authorization on the customer’s credit card please review Pre-authorization section. Other coverages may be available at the counter, check upon arrival for information. -Additional Liability Insurance –SLI (additional third party liability protection): This option is available at all Mexican locations. The purchase of this option increases the limit from 1 million pesos up to 15 million pesos in coverage for property damage and third party property liability. Car Theft or damage to parts and accessories are not covered for this insurance. All expenses related to the CARWIZ / AVIS vehicle are not included in this option. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage. Personal Accident Insurance (PAI): The purchase provides accidental death and medical expense benefits to the renter and all passengers in the vehicle up to 500,000.00 MEP per event. Client must follow all driving conditions stated in our terms of service clauses, any infractions to the stated conditions voids this coverage.
- OTHER
CREDIT CARD GUARANTEES At certain times of the year it will be necessary to provide a credit card guarantee in order to reserve a car. Certain car types may require a credit card guarantee year round. If your reservation required a credit card in order to book, please be sure to cancel at a minimum of 24 hours in advance in order to avoid and cancellation and/or penalty. Reservations MUST be cancelled through the original booking source. Should reservation fail to be cancelled within 24 hours, credit card will be charged 50 USD. INCLUSIVE RATE PKG. Should you purchase an Inclusive Rate Package please note that Collision and Theft waivers, as well as Taxes and Fees are included in your rate. You will remain responsible for any coverage excess as listed under Insurance or Damage Waiver. NOT included in your rate is the Fuel, Underage Drivers Fee, Additional Drivers Fee and special Equipment such as baby seats GPS or cell phones, toll roads usage fees, any additional coverage or any other option. LEGAL NOTICE CARWIZ Rent a Car provides a car rental affiliate reservation system and acts as an agent for the convenience of you the customer and the local owned and operated car rental firm. We use reasonable commercial efforts to insure the accuracy of all information posted on our website or distributed to other websites. Our liability, if any, shall be limited to the amount of rental charges paid to us. The terms, conditions and prevailing law covering the rental shall be those ADDITIONAL INFORMATION All quoted rates are in US Dollars and Payments will be taken in the local currency and converted at the day of hire rate. Any changes to the reservation or rental may result in a change of rate or an additional fee. Overtime charges occur when the renter returns the vehicle past the return date or time specified on the rental agreement. - PREPAID RESERVATIONS
At the time of rental we will request a pre-authorization on your credit card. The pre-authorization is determined and varies according to the responsibility waiver selected and the type of vehicle rented. When the rental agreement is closed, we will deduct the pre-authorization amount from the total. The remaining amount will then be released. The waiver range varies between 80-100 percent. The minimum pre-authorization is the amount of the rental plus 30% up to a maximum amount of 5,000.00 USD if no waiver option is selected.
- RESERVATION HOLD TIME
Time in minutes that we wait for a late customer, before no-show or cancel: 120 minutes
- SMOKING
Smoking is prohibited in all our vehicles. Penalty will be charged to the renter locally.
- TOLL ROADS AND FEES
LOCAL CHARGES You are responsible for any charges and fines, including tolls, congestion charges, speeding tickets and parking or traffic fines. TOLL FEES Look out for toll fees on certain roads, as these are not included in your rental price. Depending on where you’re driving, you may be able to pay for toll fees in different ways. Just ask the counter staff to explain when you pick up the car. AFTER YOUR RENTAL If you’ve incurred any charges, such as speeding tickets or unpaid congestion charges, the car hire company will try to contact you when the authorities ask them who was driving. This could be months after your rental – and you’ll have to pay the company’s administration fee as well as the original charge.

Rental Policies
What you need to know about your renting process
- ADDITIONAL DRIVERS
All drivers must meet the same minimum age and driver’s license requirements as the renter. Renter’s spouse or life partner, disabled renters who need assistance and co-workers (corporate rentals) are free of charge. Any additional driver must be present at the time of rental to sign the additional driver’s form. A maximum of 2 additional drivers are allowed. The additional driver fee is 160.00 MEP per day for each additional driver. The maximum charge is 4,500.00 MEP per rental. An additional underage fee will apply for drivers 21-24 years of age and will be subject to tax and surcharges.
- AGE
The minimum age is 21. There is no maximum age. Renters younger than 25 years old are subject to a young driver fee of 160.00 MEP per day for all car groups, subject to tax and surcharges. There is no maximum charge. This policy is applicable to corporate rentals with a corporate rate.
- CDW
Loss of Use: In case of any damage (or detention by law enforcement) to the rented car that prevents the unit from being rented again, the customer will be responsible for the loss of use while the car is in repairs. This policy applies only to the cases where the customer decided not to acquire one of our responsibility waiver products or the waiver is void by not following rental guidelines accepted and signed at the time of rental.
- CLEANING
Smoking in Vehicle Fee: Our fleet is Non-Smoking; a cleaning fee of 250.00 USD will be applied in case customer decides to smoke in our vehicle. Excess Soil Fee: In case of excessive soil, odors, stains or any other situation that requires our company to apply a special procedure to clean the car interiors, upholstery, etc., a cleaning fee of 250.00 USD will be applied
- CROSS BORDER
Cars rented in Mexico are NOT allowed to travel to the U.S. Vehicles rented from Mexico cannot go into Central or South America.
- DEBIT CARDS
Debit cards (Visa and Mastercard) are only accepted as a form of payment at the end of the rental in substitution of the credit card presented at the beginning of the rental. Cash rentals are NOT allowed.

- DRIVERS LICENSE
Driver Qualifications: You must be at least 21. A valid driver’s license from the country of residence and a passport are required. An international driving license is required for countries with a non-Roman alphabet. We reserve the right to check the driver’s license against CARWIZ / AVIS standards and refuse to rent if those standards are not met.
- EARLY RETURN
There are no refunds for early return.
